Funeral Information For Michael Hafke: Clinton Township Police, NJ Member
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Retired Sergeant Michael Hafke, who left us on January 20 after a courageous twenty-year battle with multiple myeloma.
Sergeant Hafke dedicated his life to service. He proudly served the Clinton Township Police Department from 1990 to 2014. A veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, he also achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and served during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

While deeply proud of his uniformed service, his greatest pride was his family—his wife, Irene, and his children, who were the center of his world. Even during his health struggles, he lived fully, enjoying mountain motorcycle rides in Nevada and forming a profound bond with his stem cell donor, whom he met both in the U.S. and Germany.
After a period of remission, his cancer returned. He and Irene sought hope in a clinical trial in Salt Lake City, but the illness had spread. Sergeant Hafke will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, professionalism, and strength. He made a lasting difference and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
