Christopher Norman Costantino, born January 15, 1978, in Buffalo, NY, to Glenn Sr. and Rieta Costantino, lived a life seasoned with hard work, hearty laughter, and deep devotion. He passed peacefully on January 19, 2026, leaving behind a community that cherished him as both a masterful chef and a beloved friend.

Chris’s journey was one of passion and purpose. A graduate of Frontier Central High School, his energetic spirit found its true calling in the culinary arts. For over three decades, he crafted his legacy in kitchens across Western New York, from Foit’s and Murphy’s to The Dock at the Bay. His dedication culminated in a nine-year role as Food Services Director at Elderwood Nursing Home in Hamburg, where his care nourished both body and soul.

His proudest achievement was the Lakeshore Café in Blasdell. As co-owner and head chef alongside his brother, Glenn Jr., Chris poured his heart into every dish. His perfectionism and skill earned the café acclaim, with top honors for its French Onion Soup, Fish Fry, and Italian Beef—a testament to his tireless craft.

More than his professional accolades, Chris will be remembered for the warmth he brought to every room. He possessed a rare gift for transforming workplaces into families, leading with respect, quick wit, and an unwavering belief that work should be joyful. Outside the kitchen, his lively personality and love for his dog, Bella, reflected a man who embraced life fully.

Chris is survived by his parents; siblings Glenn Jr. (Amelia Moyer) and Fallen Costantino; cherished nieces and nephew Nick, Heather, and Joshua; and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his sister, Sharon.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2-5 PM at Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home in Hamburg, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at 5 PM. Christopher’s legacy lives on in the meals shared, the laughter echoed in dining rooms, and the countless lives he touched with his generous spirit.
