Woman Who Died in Citrus Heights Crash Identified As Mia Miskic

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman who died in a solo-vehicle crash over the weekend as 33-year-old Mia Miskic of Fair Oaks.

According to the Citrus Heights Police Department, the fatal collision occurred early Sunday morning, January 18th. Just before 2 a.m., officers received an automated crash alert near the intersection of Greenback Lane and Dewey Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered an SUV that had struck a utility pole. The driver, later identified as Miskic, was found unresponsive.

Officers immediately began emergency lifesaving measures. Sacramento Metro Fire personnel transported Miskic to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead despite all efforts. The crash investigation required the closure of eastbound Greenback Lane for approximately two and a half hours overnight.

The Coroner’s Office releases the identity of a deceased individual only after next-of-kin have been notified. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by local authorities.
